The birds in this collection are plastered from dried plants, crushed and strengthened with a glue made of cornstarch, water and vinegar. This glue, spread over a structure of wood pieces, gives the pieces a surprising strength.

From the threads of two varieties of grass, kneaded with glue, I obtained a good mixture for modeling, which I colored with flours from yellow poplar leaves, stevia seeds, garlic peels, walnut shells, carpen seeds, physalis fruits, birch leaves and chestnut leaves.

The eyes are made from reed stalks with a wooden core, and the beaks are also carved from wood, colored and waxed.
